Marshall 1960B 300w 4×12 Straight Cab
The Marshall 1960B 300w 4×12 Straight Cab produces a loud, well-focused, and uncluttered sound with a tight, full low end and a crisp, bright top. Excellent for players who don’t want to muddy-up their effects. Loaded with G12T75 Celestion 75W speakers. Slant front, 4- or 16-ohm mono or 8-ohm stereo operation. Handles 300W power. 100 lbs.
B ‘base’ or ‘straight’ cabinets offer some sonic differences to the familar angled cabs. The additional size of the straight cab gives it a lower resonant frequency for more bottom-end and with all speakers facing the same direction, a more focused sound. Many players prefer to use only the B cabs, even when they are on stage with a full stack. Zakk Wylde (Ozzy’s guitarist) uses only the B cabs because of the tighter low end and because (believe it or not) he values his hearing and the sound from the B cab doesn’t hit him directly in the head.
